Breezy Beginnings: A Wind-Kissed Folly Beach Pregnancy Announcement
How I turned windy weather into magical moments for Shelby’s growing family
🌞 The sun peeked out just long enough in between February storms for Shelby and Jay to come out to Folly Beach for an intimate session full of pure joy and love as they prepared to announce their new baby girl to the world! Shelby is a beach lover and frontend engineer and Jay is her forever adventure buddy.
We tried to go down to the Lighthouse but due to high winds and temps in the low 50s, we decided to try a little spot tucked away from all the breeze. Shelby was anxious about how the big breeze might affect how she would appear in the photos, understandably so, but once I showed her a few previews on camera, her worries quickly drifted away. With the last rays of sunshine warming us, we had a little section of the beach all to ourselves for the golden hour.
Shelby and Jay brought ALL the cutest props, inspired by some Pinterest photos they saw. Shelby is a runner and former college athlete, so the little pink Nike shoes are a perfect insignia. This couple is so sweet and full of laughter and they are going to be the best parents to their baby girl coming in summer 2024.
