Kiawah Extended Family Portraits Celebrating Newborn Girl
Alexis’ journey of starting a family led her to seek heirloom photo album gift for in-laws.
After welcoming her baby girl, Alexis knew she wanted to create something meaningful to celebrate this new chapter — an heirloom family photo album designed as a gift for her in-laws.
Just eight weeks after giving birth, she reached out to plan extended family portraits while everyone was together on Kiawah Island, just outside Charleston, South Carolina.
We scheduled a relaxed family photography session that worked around newborn naps, nursing breaks, and the unpredictable summer rain showers Charleston is known for. Despite the weather and a tight timeline, the session felt effortless and joyful—and even the family dogs joined in.
The result was a timeless collection of images capturing multiple generations together, perfect for preserving their story in a custom heirloom album.
